Nature Painting-Canoe on Marsh Shore

Beautiful Landscape Marsh Painting, 16x20  Acrylic on Canvas, Gold Frame
Original Available

This marsh painting is done is in the impressionist style and is inspired by a trip we took last year to Charleston. On the way we stopped in Beaufort, South Carolina.  This lovely coastal town has some of the most beautiful marshes, beaches and waterways.  We got there  late on Sunday morning so it was pretty quite downtown.  We found a little restaurant called Blackstones.  It seemed popular with the locals so we stopped and we had a great breakfast.  We  did a little shopping down by the waterfront (a few stores were open by noon).  We enjoyed a long conversation with one of the store owners who was very friendly and gave us some tips on what to see and do.  We were only in town for the day before we headed for Charleston.  Next time, I would stay in one of their Bed and Breakfasts  We drove around a bit and were surprised at the lovely historical homes and we stopped by and visited an old historical church.  We also visited Huntington Beach State Park and the lighthouse.  The lighthouse is on my to do list to paint.

This original acrylic landscape painting is done in blues and soft greens and browns. The golden grass accents the blue marsh water nicely.  The winding marsh water draws you into to the painting and invites you to jump in and go rowing on the marsh!
